Welcome to the West of Scotland Regional Workforce Planning web site which has been designed to keep you informed of regional activity and provide you with regional workforce information.
For workforce planning purposes, the region is made up of five territorial NHS Boards - Ayrshire & Arran, Dumfries & Galloway, Forth Valley, Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Lanarkshire - plus the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and The State Hospital Special Health Boards.
The success of regional working requires strong Board ownership and involvement and therefore each Board within the West has a Workforce Lead who supports and progresses the local workforce planning agenda, and leads on the production of the Board Workforce Plan. To enable Boards to contribute to the regional agenda, Workforce Leads also contribute to the regional workforce priorities by leading on agreed actions and objectives. The Regional Workforce Director leads this virtual team of individuals to ensure the agreed workforce actions are progressed.
